Platform limits

How to use it

  1. Type or paste your text into the field above.
  2. Check the count with or without spaces and diacritics.
  3. Watch the limit bars to see how much room is left on each platform.

Character counts matter when you're writing for something with a limit: a post, a search-engine meta description, an SMS. This counter shows the figure with and without spaces, plus how much room you have left against the common limits.

The thing that catches people out in Arabic is that every diacritic counts as its own character in computer systems, so a fully vocalised word can consume twice what you'd expect. That's why we show the count both with and without them, so you know exactly what will be charged against your limit.
