Using the tools

The tools are free to use for personal and commercial purposes, without registration. We add no watermarks to your output, and you keep all your rights in the files you process and produce; we acquire no rights in them.

To keep the service working for everyone, we apply reasonable limits on how many requests can be made to the tools that run on our server, and a size limit on files uploaded for conversion (currently 20 MB). These limits may change without notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to:

  • Check ports or systems you don't own or aren't authorised to test. The port checker is meant for your own servers, or servers you manage with permission.
  • Send automated or high-volume requests intended to overload the service or get around its limits.
  • Upload files containing malware or designed to harm our servers.
  • Process files you have no right to handle, or for any activity that breaks the law, whether in your country or in Pakistan, where the site is operated.

We may block access for any address or user that breaks these terms.

Your files and lookups

You're responsible for the files you process and for having the right to handle them. How your data is handled depends on the type of tool, and each tool page says which applies at the top:

  • Tools that run in your browser: your files never reach us, so we can't see or monitor them.
  • Lookup tools: the domain, IP address or ports you enter are sent to our server to perform the lookup.
  • File conversion: your file is uploaded, converted, and deleted once the result is sent back.

The tools' limits

The tools are provided “as is”, with no guarantee that a result will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose. In particular:

  • PDF to Word conversion reconstructs the document by inference; the result may need tidying, and Arabic text in particular should be proofread.
  • DNS, blacklist and port-check results reflect what our server sees at the moment of the check and may differ from what others see.
  • The guides on this site are general information based on our own testing, not professional advice.

Always keep a copy of your original files before processing them. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for any data loss or direct or indirect damage arising from using the site or being unable to use it.

Advertising and external links

The site may show ads from third parties, including Google, to cover running costs. We're not responsible for the content of ads or the sites they lead to, or for external sites mentioned in our guides. Your use of those sites is governed by their own terms and policies.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text, guides and logo belong to Tools4Browser. You may quote from the guides with credit and a link back, but you may not copy or republish the site or its content wholesale.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available at all times, but may take it down temporarily for maintenance, or add, remove or change tools, without prior notice. We may also update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

The site is operated from Pakistan. These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, whose courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. This doesn't affect any rights the laws of your own country give you that can't be waived.
